Tower of Fantasy recently gifted players generous rewards to apologize for the long queue wait times on launch day, with some new players waiting up to 25 hours to join a server. However, one caveat is that there is no pity system or counter for banners that use Black Nuclei in Tower of Fantasy.Ĭompared to Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy's MMO offering seems to be more generous, giving players ample opportunity to earn Nuclei without spending money. Like Genshin Impact, there is a separate pity counter for each color Nucleus. Tower of Fantasy tracks the number of rolls on each banner and lets players know how close they are to their pity roll - a guaranteed successful roll. The good news for prospective Tower of Fantasy players is that the game's gacha system seems to be more forgiving than Genshin Impact's so far, with the added benefit of keeping track of the player's rolls as part of its pity system. Dark Crystals are a currency in Tower of Fantasy, similar to Primogems in Genshin Impact, earned through completing tasks, missions, and achievements.

On the contrary, Red Nuclei are rare, offered as an event reward or exchanged for using Dark Crystals. Black Nuclei and Gold Nuclei are common in Tower of Fantasy and can be easily obtained through exploration. Each banner in Tower of Fantasy requires Nuclei for rolls, with Nuclei coming in three different colors: gold, red, and black.

Since Tower of Fantasy's release, many players have compared its gacha system to Genshin Impact's. Related: Every Tower Of Fantasy Character Playable At Launch On launch day, Tower of Fantasy shot to the top spot on the App Store's free games list.

Despite this, anime-style MMO Tower of Fantasy had over 3 million players pre-registered ahead of the game's launch. Unfortunately for console players the game's developers, Perfect World, have announced that there are currently no plans to release the game on PlayStation or Xbox. Tower of Fantasy is a shared open-world MMORPG that was released on August 11 for PC and mobile devices.
